Movie: its a movie about teens rescueing a father from a chinese pow jail.?

The movie was from i think the 80's i was on tv all the time years back i remember watching it all the time. It was about a few guys that were either in the air force or something they went to japan or china to rescue someones father. i think they first got him from some military base on a runway. then i believe they then had to rescue him from a jail by the water. The jail had fireworks around it an the guys trying to rescue the dad set them off to distract the chinese or vietnames. then they got on some old boats and were chased by the bad guys but they got away safely. Can someone please help me this is a clic and i cant find it..
