HELP! CAN'T OPEN MICROSOFT OFFICE 2008 ON MAC!!!!?

Office has a separate application for running updates. Find it and run it. I can't remember where exactly they put it, but I know some versions squirreled it away in weird places. Look for AutoUpdater or MAU and run it until there's nothing left to update. I think 2008 may also have that in the System Preferences.
