Trying to transition my baby from our bed to his crib or pack and play. Last night was a disaster. What now?

it should be easy at this age. put him in the crib for naps & bed time. feed him on demand. leave the night light & sound soother playing all night long, give him a pacifier, and install black out blinds if he wakens early with the sunlight. he needs to learn to self soothe without you responding so quickly.
